Joel Speaks at KASBA’s Annual Conference

Last week our CEO, Joel Podolny, had the privilege of serving as the keynote speaker at the annual conference of the KASBA (Korean Academic Society of Business Administration), Korea’s largest business academic association with close to 10,000 members.

Much of the discussion centered around how education technology can enhance the impact that higher education institutions have on the broader business ecosystem.

We first need to broaden the contexts in which transformational learning can take place. Education technology needs to design and engineer products and platforms to challenge long accepted distinctions in experience between learning in-person vs remotely, synchronously vs asynchronous, and collectively vs individually. All learning modalities have the potential for transformational impact. It’s time to exponentially increase the returns to education for individuals and society as a whole.
