Transforming Content For Modern Learners
Launching A New Learning Offering With Limited Resources
Challenge:
American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) is a professional society for more than 50,000 healthcare executives seeking continuous learning opportunities. It offers multiple avenues for learning, including live in-person education, certifications, leading healthcare textbooks, webinars, and journals.
ACHE leaders wanted to maximize the impact of their robust content library and create a new learning offering to better serve its members. The organization had two key goals:
Transform content from static to engaging: The ACHE team understood that static ePubs are no longer the most effective way learn. Instead, they wanted to weave existing ePub content together with multi-media materials, knowledge checks, and social learning opportunities.
Launch a B2B offering: Health systems and university courses use ACHE’s textbooks and content for educational and training purposes, but textbooks are challenging and expensive to distribute and share. ACHE saw an opportunity to better serve its audience through an online content library, unlocking additional revenue for the organization.
ACHE added more than fifty of its most popular textbooks and top certification courses to Honor, with more content to come. Individuals and organizations may now choose textbooks, ePubs, or a learning experience on Honor that is:
Fully digital, weaving together supplemental, multi-media, and updated content with textbook content.
Social and connective, allowing learners to connect, learn from one another, and hold discussions directly within the learning material.
Mobile-first, ensuring learning content fits seamlessly into the lives of busy learners, who are often balancing continuing education with other responsibilities.
The new offering, ACHE Activate, powered by Honor, is now available for one-off textbook purchases or as a subscription basis for health systems and universities.
